Stormwater master plan update

Santaquin is updating its storm-drain master plan, the engineering study that decides where drainage improvements are needed and what new development should pay toward them. The city received three proposals. On Oct. 16, City Engineer Jon Lundell recommended Hansen, Allen & Luce for a not-to-exceed $139,137 covering the master plan, a capital facilities plan, impact-fee analyses and a storm-drain rate study. Impact fees would cover $131,518 and the storm-drain enterprise fund $7,619. A separate $33,427 for annual impact-fee updates over five years is not part of that ceiling. The council had the award on its Oct. 20 agenda. This is a consulting contract, not a construction project, and no outcome is posted yet.

The firm was selected from three proposals by an evaluation committee. Impact fees would pay $131,518 and the storm-drain enterprise fund $7,619.
