Hurricane development tracker

100 South improvement project

Hurricane plans to rebuild 100 South from 300 West to Main Street. Six contractors bid, from $2,159,723.64 to $3,380,303.35, and staff recommended the low bidder, Advanced Construction and Design, LLC. Staff's schedule has work starting Oct. 30 and reaching substantial completion on March 24, 2027. The council took up the award on Oct. 15, but no minutes are posted, and the city's one confirmed action from that meeting, an ordinance on claims against the city, is unrelated, so the award is still unconfirmed. The start date should be treated as staff's proposal until the city confirms a notice to proceed.
