  1. October 13, 2026 · City Council

Vacation of right-of-way on Bountiful Boulevard near 1300 East (Resolution 2026-15), public hearing

    Pending

A hearing on a petition to vacate about 10,251 square feet of excess right-of-way, described in the notice as no longer needed for street purposes, on the south side of Bountiful Boulevard near 1300 East. The staff report says the strip would be sold to the Keller family under the next item, and that the city would keep a 66-foot right-of-way. The draft Resolution 2026-15 recites that the council held a public hearing on Sept. 22, 2026, while the published notice sets the hearing for Oct. 13; the resolution says the city bought the strip around 1994 for a Bountiful Boulevard extension and that no water or sewer lines sit in it. A vacation is not a completed conveyance until the final resolution is adopted and recorded.

  2. October 13, 2026 · City Council

Sale of about 0.235-acre parcel to Keller Family Properties, LLC (Resolution 2026-16)

    Pending

A purchase and sale contract for an approximately 0.235-acre (10,251 square foot) parcel to Keller Family Properties, LLC for $140,000. The staff report says it is the same strip of former right-of-way as in the vacation item, south of Bountiful Boulevard near 1300 East, and that the sale is conditioned on council approval of both the sale and the vacation. The city would keep a 66-foot right-of-way and intends to set the proceeds aside for a future Bountiful Boulevard trail between 1300 East and Moss Hill Drive, with timing subject to budgeting and approval. The packet's contract is signed by the buyer, and the city's signature line is blank. Gary Hill presents. The vacation and the sale describe the same strip, so they are one transaction in two steps, not two separate sales.
