Kanarraville at a glance
Iron County · Utah
Kanarraville is a small community south of Cedar City. Its official history describes settlement around 1862 after families were displaced from Fort Harmony by heavy rain, followed by incorporation in 1934. Farming, ranching and mining all appear in the town’s account of its past.
The community is also associated with Kanarra Falls and Spring Creek, which draw visitors into the surrounding landscape. The town seeks to retain a rural and agricultural character while relying on nearby Cedar City for many commercial services. A visit to the area and a question about municipal business therefore require different sources. Kanarraville’s governing-body records appear under Town Board, while the same listing also includes Planning and Zoning notices. Select the intended body and date before opening recordings or written minutes so that planning deliberations are not attributed to the Town Board.
