Alton

Alton at a glance

Kane County · Utah

Alton sits beneath the Sunset Cliffs at the base of the Paunsaugunt Plateau in Kane County’s tourism account. The county introduces the community through early log cabins, its rural surroundings and the story of choosing the Alton name. Those details connect the town with a specific plateau-edge landscape.

The county also describes a local picnic tradition, offering a glimpse of community gatherings beyond the nearby scenic destinations. Town government is represented separately on Utah’s Public Notice Website. That public-body listing is a starting point for municipal identity and contacts even when few meeting records are available online, while the county tourism page serves a different visitor-oriented purpose.
