Mendon at a glance

Cache County · Utah

Mendon’s municipal history describes a gateway into Cache Valley, where travelers crossed the low divide north of the community. Known initially as the North Settlement, it received the Mendon name in 1859. That position on an early route into the valley remains a useful way to understand the city’s setting.

Today, Mendon Station, the city library and local parks provide places to connect with community life. The municipal website also highlights May Day and Pioneer Day traditions. Residents can move from those community resources to meeting records, permits and city-code information without losing sight of the local institutions behind the city’s history.
