Item 8B · Taxes and fees
Light and Power electrical rate schedules and fees, Resolution 26-36 (public hearing)
Pending
Adopts revised Logan Light and Power rate schedules and fees. Director Mark Montgomery presents. The draft's recital says the utility is moving electric vehicle charging management to a new vendor whose billing software cannot support the legacy rate structure, and the attached schedules carry an Oct. 21, 2026 effective date. That date was prewritten; the vote and date lines are blank, so the outcome stays pending.
Item 8C · Budget
Budget adjustments for fiscal 2026-27, Resolution 26-37 (public hearing)

Appropriates $50,000 in donated funds from Cache Valley Electric for Laub Plaza programming, $10 million carried forward from fiscal 2026 for the Electric Fund's purchase of the Public Works building, and $750,000 carried forward for solar infrastructure at the new Public Works campus. Finance Director Richard Anderson presents. The draft resolution shows the $10 million coming out of Electric Fund reserves and booked as a transfer, and its adoption date and vote lines are blank, so passage and any disbursement are not established.

- Budget$10.0 million
- Budget$750,000

Workshop: ban on short-term rentals in vertical mixed-use buildings, Ordinance 26-19
Discussed
Draft Ordinance 26-19 would amend the Land Development Code in two places: the Commercial zone development standards would add that motel, hotel and short-term rentals are prohibited on the ground floor within a multifamily residential building, and the allowed-uses table would add a row for such rentals within a multi-family building that is permitted in only one of the listed districts (TC-1) and not allowed in the others. The scanned draft leaves its adoption fields blank, and the final scope has not been checked against the staff report. Planner Aimee Egbert presents.
