Ferron at a glance

Emery County · Utah

Ferron’s surrounding landscape includes Millsite Reservoir and Ferron Canyon, where Utah State Parks describes connections with camping, fishing, mountain biking and off-highway travel. The reservoir was completed in 1970 as part of the Ferron Watershed Project. Its name recalls an earlier dam that supplied a flour mill.

In town, the municipal website highlights Peach Days and community information. City council records have a separate official listing on Utah’s Public Notice Website, providing a useful alternative when city subpages return little readable content. The state park and municipality manage different responsibilities, so recreation conditions belong with the park operator while city decisions and service questions belong with Ferron’s municipal offices.
