Holden at a glance

Millard County · Utah

Holden’s historical identity includes the earlier names Fort Cedar Springs and Buttermilk Fort. Millard County’s tourism account connects the community with an 1855 settlement and a dairy tradition that helped give travelers a reason to stop. The Holden name followed with the establishment of a post office.

For current municipal business, the Utah Public Notice Website supplies the town council’s contacts, agendas and available minutes. That resource is especially useful when older town websites are difficult to retrieve. Residents can follow local public business there while using the county’s community history as background, without treating an old website or historical account as a current service directory.
