Wade Menlove’s background includes work as a schoolteacher, builder and craftsman in Spring Lake. He was one of the sponsors of the 2024 proposal to incorporate the community as a town. By February 2026, a Serve Daily profile identified him as mayor and described his work with local business owner Jason Knapp to restore the former Spring Lake School.
