Background
Traci Herrera serves as Duchesne County assessor after a career in the same county office. When county officials approved her appointment in October 2022, county Republican chairman Kyle Snow said she had worked in the assessor’s office for more than 20 years and had spent many years as chief deputy. She was the only applicant considered for the assessor vacancy, and the county commission approved her selection after the party central committee’s recommendation.
