Background

Steve O’Camb’s campaign biography traces his law-enforcement career to the Millard County Sheriff’s Office in 1995, with work in dispatch, corrections and patrol. He later served with West Valley City Police in patrol, school-resource and special-victims assignments, retiring there as an SVU sergeant in 2015. He earned a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice and law enforcement from Utah Valley University in 2017. According to the same account, he then joined the Utah Department of Public Safety’s State Bureau of Investigation as a cold-case investigator.
