Background
Sim Weston is a Rich County commissioner whose public service includes regional land-management and county risk-pool boards. At an October 2022 meeting of the Bureau of Land Management’s Utah Resource Advisory Council, he introduced himself as a first-year member representing grazing interests. The meeting minutes describe him as a rancher with operations in Rich County and BLM grazing permits in Utah and Wyoming. The Utah Counties Indemnity Pool lists Weston as an at-large board representative for 2023–2026.
