Background
Phil Sweat served as Independence’s mayor for 17 years before resigning in 2025. His community involvement included the effort to establish the town: an account by the town clerk, recorded in August 2025 council minutes, identified him among those who petitioned for incorporation. Utah certified Independence’s incorporation in 2008. Progress: This completes the earlier 100-profile request: 100 delivered across four batches, bringing the series to 659. These 25 are the preserved carryover; the separately requested next 50 new profiles exclude these identities.
