Mike Olsen is Emery County’s attorney. His legal career includes service as an assistant county attorney before he took charge of the office. At a 2018 candidate event, Olsen said he had spent four years in each of those roles. He also described cooperation with other offices to obtain a victims’ advocate for the county. A professional attorney directory identifies him as Michael D. Olsen, lists a 2006 law degree from Thomas M. Cooley Law School and records admission in Utah and Colorado in 2007.
