Background
John Deeds was appointed to the Utah State Tax Commission and confirmed by the Senate in 2025. Before joining the commission, he practiced state and local tax law, most recently as a partner at Crapo Deeds. He holds a University of Utah law degree and a graduate tax-law degree from Georgetown.
