Background

Danny Van Wagoner’s background includes contracting and work in energy production in Emery County. In his 2026 Utah League of Cities and Towns board-nomination questionnaire, the Castle Dale mayor described leadership service on several boards. He specifically identified his regional work on the SERDA board with southeastern Utah mayors, county commissioners and staff. Utah’s Department of Workforce Services also lists him as the region’s representative on the Community Development Block Grant Policy Committee.
