Career and education
Bridger Bolinder graduated from Grantsville High School and founded several small businesses, including Bolinder Resources, a Tooele-based sand, gravel and mining company. His official House biography describes continued work in those businesses outside the legislative session. It identifies Grantsville as his home and lists hunting, fishing and time outdoors among his interests, connecting his business and personal background to western Utah. [1]
Public service and district
Bolinder began House service in January 2023 and represents District 29, covering portions of Juab, Millard and Tooele counties. The current roster identifies him as House majority assistant whip. The district brings together communities in western and central Utah, while his leadership assignment also involves the work of the majority caucus. His business biography remains rooted in Grantsville and Tooele. [1]
Documented legislative work
The 2026 sponsor record shows Bolinder working across healthcare, tourism and resource issues. HB343, Nursing Care Facility Program Amendments, and HB272, Tourism Taxes Amendments, are recorded as signed by the governor. His water-modifications proposal reached the Senate but ended with a return-to-Rules status. That distinction keeps a proposal that advanced partway through the process separate from bills the record identifies as signed measures. [2]
In the 2026 General Session, Bridger Bolinder was chief sponsor of H.B. 97, Medical Waste Amendments. It lets certain health facilities offer a patient the unused portion of a facility-owned medication, requires labeling under the Pharmacy Practice Act, and addresses patient counseling. The governor signed it on March 17, 2026. [3]
In the 2026 General Session, Bridger Bolinder was chief sponsor of H.B. 111, Wildlife Amendments. It changes who may verify an illness, injury or disability for wildlife licenses and permits, amends notice rules for land purchases and addresses rulemaking and penalties for reporting hunt information. The governor signed it on March 25, 2026. [4]
Committee and budget responsibilities
Bolinder's current assignments include Executive Appropriations, Transportation and Infrastructure Appropriations, and Legislative Management. He also serves on House Health and Human Services, Natural Resources, Agriculture, and Environment, and the Legislative Water Development Commission. Those responsibilities combine caucus leadership with healthcare review, resource management, infrastructure spending and water planning. Interim assignments in health and natural resources continue that substantive work between general sessions. [1]
