Logan

A man driving a pickup truck was critically injured early Thursday after hitting a cow on US 89/91 in Logan and then being struck by a UPS driver, FOX 13 reported, citing the Logan Police Department. [1]

Police said the pickup driver hit the cow near 2600 South at about 2 a.m., killing the animal. A UPS driver then hit the pickup, which police attributed to the poorly lit highway in that area. Emergency crews extricated the pickup driver, who was taken to a hospital in critical condition. [1]

Northbound lanes of the highway were closed after the crashes and were expected to reopen before the morning commute. [1]
