Cedar City

St. George News reported that a driver was cited for failure to yield after her Subaru Outback collided with a Utah Highway Patrol SUV at Main Street and 1325 North in Cedar City shortly after 2 p.m. Wednesday, police said. [1]

Cedar City Police Sgt. Kirk Lovell said the UHP vehicle was heading south on Main Street when the Subaru turned left onto westbound 1325 North in front of it. Neither trooper reported injuries but both were checked at Cedar City Hospital as a precaution, he said. The Subaru driver was taken to the hospital as a precaution because of chest pains. [1]

Both vehicles had heavy front-end damage and were towed. The crash caused traffic delays from lane closures and detours. [1]
