Hearth grew out of Jasoh!, which opened in 2003; the business moved and took the Hearth name in 2013. It won Salt Lake magazine's Best Northern Utah award in 2014. The restaurant describes its cooking as rooted in the Wasatch and the Pacific Northwest, and it runs an oil-and-vinegar shop.

Its summer 2026 menu included elk meatballs, wood-grilled trout, rabbit-confit ravioli, duck pasta and a five-course tasting menu. Menus change by season.
