Official visitor information ↗

The Capitol sits on Capitol Hill above downtown Salt Lake City. It holds ceremonial spaces and public art alongside the day-to-day work of the Legislature, the governor and other state offices. Guided and self-guided tours are offered.

Memorials and monuments stand on the grounds outside. A visit during the legislative session, which runs January to early March, is busier than a quiet weekday.

Before you go
