Sundance Mountain Resort’s history begins with Robert Redford’s purchase of the property in 1969. The resort developed around skiing and mountain hospitality while keeping art and the natural setting central to its identity. Its own history distinguishes the resort from the related institutions that later grew out of the Sundance name. [1] [2]

The present business includes accommodation, dining, outdoor recreation and arts experiences. Its current visitor information describes an Art Studio, music and seasonal activities, bringing creative programs into a resort operation. The result is a Utah hospitality business serving overnight guests, day visitors and people arriving for a particular meal, class or mountain activity. [1] [2]
