The business is part of bioMérieux, whose current website hosts BIOFIRE clinical product information. bioMérieux announced on January 16, 2014 that it had finished acquiring 100 percent of BioFire Diagnostics, after an agreement announced in September 2013. At the time it said the Salt Lake City site would become its hub for molecular biology and that BioFire's biodefense work would move to a separate wholly owned subsidiary at its own protected Salt Lake City site. Those were plans as of 2014. [4]
